Cook's of Chard & Dowlish Wake, Somerset:
At around the time "my" Mary Ann Cook and her family settled at Prospect, NSW, Australia, another Mary Ann Cook also settled there with her family. This second Mary Ann was born around the same time, but baptised at St Bartholomew's, Prospect. Her parents were from Somerset. For a while I thought this was "my" Mary Ann and I researched her ancestry. I eventually found my Mary's marriage and death certificates which positively show that she was not the one of Somerset ancestry. The Somerset Mary was born at sea on the voyage to Australia and baptised after her arrival. Rather than have this research go to waste and since I've gotten a lot of queries about Somerset Cook's, I've put the tree file up here.
