Check out the Monacute/Montagu mail-list. Details and how to get on

People who have an interest in the Montacute family, not
necessesarily related to my Montacute's. This is not a comprehensive
list, just a listing of those whom I have been in contact with. Some
of these email addresses may no longer be valid. Since all Montague's
are ultimately descendended from Drogo de Montacute, I'll only include
areas of interest for those unable to establish a connection. There is
a Montague cross-link found in the Abraham Estes file (USA), found at:
http://www.triode.net.au/~dragon/ft/estes-ab.txt.

to Montague sometime in the early 20thC. My family lived in the village
of Montacute in Somerset up untill the late 1930s. [Pat's line:] It is
believed that the village name was given to an orphan boy who wandered
into the village. Another story has it that my family are descended
from Hugenots fleeing persecution in France who came to live in the
village."
